Narrative structure is 'unfolding actions and events, processes of change, transitory spatial arrangements' (Kress and Leeuwen, 2006) A narrative structure usually has a story(meaning) to tell and it must have dynamic vectors. In order to explore the this concept, our group decided to change our design from static to a narrative structure, we have changed two side from flat to curve to create a dynamic vector pointing up alone with the roof of the carton(Fig.1), after that, we have noticed that it might not be suitable for our target customer, 3 - 10 years old kid, the curve side may add up length to the carton so they can not hold the carton easily. Therefore, we changed to add on a "pop up" straw hole attachment (Fig.2) in order to attract attention from the kids, and make it more stand out from the similar product.
